Actually, since the 720 hasn't even been announced yet, it would be more like Saturday night quarterbacks.
Gotta go with Sonic on that one. Post 1.1
Don't expect Microsoft to change now. Expect them to do what they have always done, charge you for things you have already paid for.
The best observation in the source link came not from the article, but rather from comment #5 below it, by a person named Christopher Bowen. He points out that any such console could be shut down by Microsoft at will. If they decide to shut down its servers for any reason, then instantly all the boxes become useless at once.
Actually, I can't imagine that anyone is going to buy that. Microsoft probably was planning on doing this and is dropping these rumors to use th...
Godmars, I don't see your point. Of course the people who are complaining are the ones posting on the internet. Right now, 1) the only way to have heard about this is over the internet. But, the people who have internet connections are complaining.
If the rumors are true and remain true, it doesn't matter whether the games are worth playing offline or not, you won't be able to play an otherwise offline, single player game if you are not online.
Oh, I know they doing that...looking in MSFT's trash cans, I mean. Going through the trash is the first thing you do when you are snooping for information.
Err....wasn't Kratos a real Greek god. Obviously, the Greeks didn't depict him like the video games do, but I'm pretty sure that the name "Kratos" appears in the mythology.

"2. Always Online doesn't mean Required Online "

Actually, in this case it does mean "Required Online," that's what's got everyone so upset. Either the new Xbox will play a game when it is not connected to the internet or it won't. All the rumors and leaks say that it will not play a game if i...

That's not fair at all. Fair is when you buy it, you own it. If it comes with the right to play online then fair is being able to sell and trade that right as well.
If the game maker's complaint is that they have to spend money to maintain online infrastructure after the game's release then, after a certain point, they should charge a proper amount to play online. But they should charge all who are playing online, ...
Who says people wouldn't have an issue with used game passes? If it stops me from playing or selling what I have bought with my own money then I have a problem with it.
No it's not okay for a game either. But I can (and in my case actually will) choose not to buy the game, unless it is an exclusively online multi-player game.
I used to believe that the "always online" rumor was just a stupid rumor that was clearly untrue. But when the reports of the rumor started to pick up this week, I began to think....
"if this is true then they need to annouce the new Xbox before E3, or maybe even after E3, just not AT E3. Can you imagine the reaction if Microsoft said this on the stage in front of the hard-core fanboy crowd?"
I said that to a friend of mine and he said...
Is that supposed to mean something? Aaron Greenberg is way up the MS food chain, of of course he wouldn't know somebody small enough to make a mistake on twitter. Bill Gates probably doesn't know who he is either, or at least they didn't,....until this morning.
The problem is that people don't know what color you are on the internet.
I still don't believe that it is written in stone that the launch model PS4's will not be BC. PS3 has a good catalogue this year. I don't think they want to force people who can afford to pay the extra for a PS4 to choose between PS3 and PS4.
@kevnb
There is a big difference between Microsoft putting it in at the hardware/operating system level and a game developer putting it in at the software/video game/app level. If an individual game is online only or not then I lose just that one game when my internet is not there for any reason. But if I an entire console platform is online only then lose all my games when the internet goes out.
If the game developer wants to do that with his individual ...
@HammadTheOne
They don't actually have to show the console. They can just give some info and show some games, and still have people curious and have enough material left to reveal to keep from being upstaged at E3.
"Am I the only person who didn't mind Raiden being the main character in MGS2? "
No, I'm sure there are two of you. There has to be another person who liked Raiden out there somewhere.
@Brian
But reducing the shelf space at stores would hurt the entire game industry, not just Gamestop and other video game speciality stores.
I'm gonna trust Kojima. He hasn't missed with Metal Gear Solid yet.
Well, aside from that whole, "play Metal Gear Solid 2 with Raiden instead of Snake" thing.
My question is, why would you buy the mini instead of just buying a brand new, ordinary 360? They do still sell them and if you bought one you could play your disc based 360 games while someone else plays your disc based Durango games, AT THE SAME TIME.
